This audiobook service is restricted to print disabled users.

A person is eligible to receive Audiobooks service if he or she is unable to use conventional print materials due to a visual, physical or perceptual disability and qualifies for InterLINK library service.

Eligibility is defined in accordance with current copyright legislation. The Act defines a “perceptual disability” as a disability that prevents or inhibits a person from reading or hearing a literary, musical, dramatic or artistic work in its original format, and includes such a disability resulting from:

  1. severe or total impairment of sight or hearing or the inability to focus or move ones eyes
  2. the inability to hold or manipulate a book, or
  3. an impairment relating to comprehension

Following on this restriction, under no circumstances are these materials to be made available to ineligible patrons.
