Courses
Indigenous Awareness
How much do you really know about Indigenous Peoples and issues? Would you like to build a better understanding of some of the issues you hear in the news? Indigenous Awareness training is a foundational course designed to help you build that understanding. Participants will explore the histories and cultures of Indigenous Peoples in Canada, and gain insights into how current issues and systems continue to impact Indigenous communities today.
Indigenous Relations
The fear of doing or saying the wrong thing can impede your ability to develop effective Indigenous relationships. Indigenous relations training gives you insight, strategies, tips, and suggestions necessary to overcome that fear. You will learn what to do, what not to do and why. This course paves your path to respectful and effective Indigenous relations and is the follow up course to our Indigenous Awareness training.
Eligibility
Open to all BC public libraries through their federations.
