ARETE
ARETE training focuses on key workplace safety topics, including violence prevention, de-escalation, and bullying and harassment. Training will provide employees with the confidence and skills to safely respond to the continuum of client and customer conflict, from low-level agitation through to verbal abuse, aggression and escalated in-person threats.
InterLINK’s partnership with ARETE includes three online, self-paced training courses and optional live training by request.

ARETE offers three online, self-paced training programs:
ARETE Workplace Violence Prevention and De-escalation (WVPD)
WVPD training gives employees the ability to assess customer/client behaviours and make safe and effective communication choices, all while managing their own emotions.
Length: 90 minutes
ARETE Workplace Violence Prevention 360 (WVPD 360)
The WVPD 360 course contains all of the same content from WVPD, plus an add-on module about safely requesting customer cooperation.
Length: 120 minutes
ARETE Workplace Bullying and Harassment
This training empowers employees with the skills, confidence and motivation to effectively speak up and address unwanted workplace behaviours before they escalate.
Length: 60 minutes

Delivery
Self-paced. Participants will receive a dedicated access code from ARETE to access training. Once enrolled, participants have 30 days to complete the course. Review our ARETE & InterLINK info sheet for more information.

ARETE Workplace Bullying and Harassment: $65
Live, online training and in-person training has associated fees.
Live ARETE Training
In addition to offering flexible, self-paced online training, ARETE also delivers each of their programs through live online sessions or in-person workshops, depending on your organization’s needs and preferences. These interactive formats provide opportunities for real-time engagement, discussion, and personalized support from experienced facilitators.

The cost of each self-paced, online courses varies:
ARETE Workplace Violence Prevention and De-escalation (WVPD): $80.96
ARETE Workplace Violence Prevention and De-escalation 360 (WVPD 360): $116.96
ARETE Workplace Bullying and Harassment: $62.96
For in-person or live training, there is a minimum rate of $2,300 + GST. Travel is billed separately, if applicable. Please reach out directly for more details.
InterLINK provides staff training through libraries or federations. Because of this, we work directly with libraries or federations for billing. We’re not able to invoice individuals.
If fees apply, InterLINK will invoice the appropriate library/federation.
