InterLINK Board
Board Responsibilities

The InterLINK Board has a legal responsibility for the delivery of services to the member library boards. Board members are volunteers who require a commitment to the importance of resource sharing and open access in public libraries.

Board Members - Responsibilities:

  • Establish the goals and objectives of InterLINK.
  • Develop long and short term plans for InterLINK.
  • Adopt written policies to govern the operation and services of InterLINK.
  • Relate the services of InterLINK to its member libraries.
  • Produce a budget to carry out the goals and objectives of InterLINK.
  • Present the budget to member library boards.

Board Members - Duties:

  • Regularly attend meetings of the InterLINK Board.
  • Actively participate in the work of the Board and its committees.
  • Represent the interests of their own library board to the InterLINK Board.
  • Represent the interests of InterLINK to their own library Board.
  • Keep their own library board well-informed and current on InterLINK activities.
  • Act as an advocate for resource sharing and open access for public libraries.
  • Attend special InterLINK events.
  • Represent InterLINK when required to do so.
