The InterLINK Board has a legal responsibility for the delivery of services to the member library boards. Board members are volunteers who require a commitment to the importance of resource sharing and open access in public libraries.
Board Members - Responsibilities:
- Establish the goals and objectives of InterLINK.
- Develop long and short term plans for InterLINK.
- Adopt written policies to govern the operation and services of InterLINK.
- Relate the services of InterLINK to its member libraries.
- Produce a budget to carry out the goals and objectives of InterLINK.
- Present the budget to member library boards.
Board Members - Duties:
- Regularly attend meetings of the InterLINK Board.
- Actively participate in the work of the Board and its committees.
- Represent the interests of their own library board to the InterLINK Board.
- Represent the interests of InterLINK to their own library Board.
- Keep their own library board well-informed and current on InterLINK activities.
- Act as an advocate for resource sharing and open access for public libraries.
- Attend special InterLINK events.
- Represent InterLINK when required to do so.
